“Di,” as most would call her, was born March 30, 1990, in Jennings to Gertrude Jackson and Carl (Baby Jr.) Senegal. She was full of life, funny and outgoing, with a beautiful soul. She also was not afraid to tell it like it is.

Di was a graduate of Jennings High School Class of 2008 and later finished her CNA certification at Morgan Smith Campus. She was in love with her children and hated the fact of leaving them so soon; they were her everything.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Douglas-Jackson, and maternal grandfather, Clemon Davis.

Dionne leaves her memories in her three children, son Za’Narionne Douglas and two daughters, Za’Nanhari Douglas and four-month-old Za’Yah Bias, all of Jennings; her father, Carl (Baby Jr.) Senegal of Jennings; maternal grandmother Evanna Williams-Douglas of Jennings; paternal grandmother Linda Mouton of Crowley; paternal grandfather Bert Senegal of Houston, Texas; her close friend, Leon Bias of Crowley; her loving siblings on her mother’s and father’s side who she had a close bond with; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.
