The family and friends of James Ronald Domingue are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called from this life on May 20, 2019, at the age of 83.

Funeral services for James Ronald Domingue will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jennings on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at 4 p.m., with Reverend Andy Buckley officiating.

Visitation will be held at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jennings on Sunday, June 2, from 2 p.m. until the time of his funeral service.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.

James was born in Crowley to Murphy and Lois Faulk Domingue on Jan. 1, 1936. He served his Nation honorably in the United States Air Force. James was the original founding father of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Jennings. He was also president of the board of directors, a member and deacon of Cornerstone Baptist Church. James retired from many years of dedicated service to Shell Oil Company. He loved fishing and hunting with his son and grandson. He especially loved spending time with his family and friends. James was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

James is survived by his son, Jonathan Domingue of Jennings; daughter, Tammy Domingue of Abbeville; six grandchildren, Brandy, Randal, Caroline, Mary Claire, Abigail and Christian; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Henry; and one sister, Deanna Domingue Breaux and husband, Wayne of Jennings.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Lois Faulk Domingue; and his beloved wife of 58 years, Ramona “Carleen” Hoffpauir Domingue.
