Melissa Ann Guthrie

Funeral services for Mrs. Melissa Ann Guthrie, 57, of Jennings were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 23, 2022 at Miguez Funeral Home, with Bro. Austin Spell officiating.

In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation will follow under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Guthrie was held Monday, May 23, 2022, from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. service.

Mrs. Guthrie passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, May 21, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Guthrie was born Oct. 27, 1964, to John Murphy and Loretta Prather Leger of Hayes. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, George; daughters Ericka Guthrie and Jessica Guthrie of Jennings; her parents; sister Tara Leger of Hayes; brothers Shannon Leger of Spring, Texas, and Murphy Leger, Jr. of Lake Charles; sons-in-law Damien Williams and Joseph Thibodeaux; brother-in-law Curtis McMullen of Spring, Texas; sister-in-law Ursula Leger and three grandchildren, Erin Landry, Blake Landry and Khole Thibodeaux.
