GUEYDAN - Ralph Joseph Dupree, 67, of Gueydan was called from this life on Jan. 2, 2019.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Gueydan on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Gueydan Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the KC Hall in Gueydanfollowing Bozo’s Graveside Services.

Bozo was born in Gueydan to Dewey J. Dupree and Mazie M. Smith Dupree on Sept. 18, 1951. Bozo was employed as an oilfield consultant for over 40 years. He loved to ride his motorcycle, dance, camp, cook, sing and go to the casino. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, which he was very devoted too. Bozo also loved to make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Bozo is survived by his wife, Amy Dupree of Gueydan; his son, Jarrod Vincent, Sr. of Dulac; his five daughters, Kamela Royer (Clavin) of Lake Arthur, Monica Bourque (Zim) of Gueydan, Francesca Gaspard (Diana) of Lake Arthur, Jasmine Viator (Bryan) of Gueydan and Tessa Dupree Hebert of Lafayette; his two brothers, Dewey “LuLu” Dupree (Martha) of Gueydan and Gregory Dupree (Darlene) of Gueydan; his sister, Maxine Perrin of Gueydan; his 18 grandchildren, Keith, Jr., Bailey, Spencer, Alex, Bo “Jacy”, Malori “Trevor”, Ali, Kayla, Jarrod, Jr., J’ailyn, Austin, Brilee, Mylee, Chad, Bryan, Noah, Jason and Wyatt; his four great-grandchildren, Brie, Vance, Logan and Bo, Jr.; his three godchildren, Donnie Perrin, Beaux Boudreaux and Shelly Meaux; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Bozo was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Mazie Dupree; and his son-in-law, Frank Bourque.
