It’s with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family of Rebecca Ann McDaniels announces her passing from this life on Feb. 11, 2019 at the age of 26.

Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Joseph Boutin officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 8:30 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Silverwood Cemetery.

Rebecca was born in Crowley to Warren McDaniels and Janice Annette LeJeune on Nov. 23, 1992. Rebecca loved spending time with her friends. She also loved doing makeup, dying her hair and cooking. Most of all, she loved to eat. She was very outgoing and adventurous and loved taking pictures with family and friends. She also loved spending time with all of her family and her dog, “Baby Girl.” She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rebecca is survived by her father, Warren E. McDaniels; her mother and step-father, Janice A. Leopold (Terry, Sr.) of Silverwood; her grandmother, Marcella LeJeune of Gueydan; her Godmother, Jaimie Snoody of Gueydan; her Godfather, Troy Ewing of Gueydan; her dog, Baby Girl; her two brothers, Terry Wayne Leopold, Jr. (Ashlee) of Gueydan and Damian Wayne Leopold of Kaplan; her two sisters, LaShalonda Jones of Gueydan and Ashley Nicole Leopold of Kaplan; her three nephews, Terry Leopold, III, Tylan Leopold and Tatyn Leopold; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; her maternal grandfather; and her uncle.

Pallbearers will be Walter Ray Leopold, Douglas Michael Matthews Jr., Micah Cheatham, Troy Ewing, Chris Leger and Jordan Breaux.

Honorary pallbearers will be Wilton Wilkins, Damian Leopold, Terry Leopold Jr, Clayton LeJeune and Danny Lejeune.
