WELSH โ€” Warren Joseph LeJeune, 73, of Welsh passed away Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at his residence.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, with Father Alan Trouille officiating.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, from 5-8 p.m., with a Rosary led by the Catholic Daughters at 7 p.m.

Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Monday, from 9 a.m. until the procession to the church.

Burial will be at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Mausoleum.

He was born to his late parents, Joseph and Beulah LeJeune, on Aug. 29, 1947, in Elton.

He enjoyed fishing, working outdoors, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

He was a quiet, simple man, but loved by all that knew him.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1967-1971. He was a parishioner at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church for many years. Warren was a certified mechanic for Entergy for 32 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Carolyn LeJeune; one son, Jarred LeJeune (Elizabeth) of Youngsville; one son-in-law, Patrick Taylor; one brother, Charles LeJeune (Sandy) of Denham Springs; three sisters, Dolores Monteaux (James D.) of Baton Rouge, Geneva Billups (Michael) of Lake Charles and Bernadette Fontenot (Elwood) of Ville Platte; eight grandchildren, Reed Alexander, Marshall Alexander, Michael Taylor, Sam Taylor, John Taylor, Abigail Fontenot, Meredith Salley and Charlie LeJeune; along with two great-grandchildren, Oliver Alexander and Josiah Weldon.

Warren was preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Dawn LeJeune Taylor; and one brother, Roy LeJeune.
