Winter was born in Gueydan on April 28, 1985, to Larry LeJeune and Carol Hebert. She was called home to her Heavenly Father after a short, courageous battle with cancer on Aug. 17, 2019.

Winter dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She loved to read, garden, go camping and go to garage sales. Winter was very involved with her church and she loved children. Winter never met a stranger and she loved to visit with family and friends. Winter was a kind and loving person. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Winter leaves behind those she loved dearly to cherish all of her memories, including her mother, Carol Hebert of Lake Arthur; her husband, Joshua LaVergne of Hathaway; her son, Jrue LaVergne of Hathaway; her three daughters, Gracee Lavergne, Kirsten LaVergne and Audree LaVergne, all of Hathaway; her two brothers, Brandon Hebert of Jennings and Blake Hebert of Lake Arthur; her grandmother, Laura Perry of Lake Arthur; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Winter now rejoices with the family that preceded her in death, including her father, Larry LeJeune; and her grandmother, Lena Hebert.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Winter LaVergne Medical Fund at The Bank.

Carrying Winter to her final resting place will be Jeffery LaVergne, Jared LaVergne, Jordan LaVergne, Brandon Hebert, Blake Hebert, and Aaron Hebert.
