Afriend sent me an anecdote this week called “The Magic Bank Account.” It spoke of the possibility of winning a contest in which the prize was a deposit in your bank account of $86,400 every day. However, the rule was that you had to spend that money each day or it would be taken from you, and the bank could stop the prize-giving at any time.
