President Trump has said many times that voting by mail – which will play a big role in this November’s presidential election – is vulnerable to fraud. “There is tremendous evidence of fraud whenever you have mail-in ballots,” Trump has noted. The November election, he added, “will be, in my opinion, the most corrupt election in the history of our country.”

I’ve gotten a few letters from readers over the past couple of weeks who have asked me – some more politely and in publishable terms than others – if I have anything nice to say about the Trump administration at all.

It’s more than a bit ironic that over the years Redskins owner Daniel Snyder’s game plan to defend the team’s nickname has been much more successful than his plan to defend the team’s end zone.

Are we really at each other’s throats over coronavirus and politics or are we just all very crabby because of this heat? I don’t know about you, but I feel crankier than a toddler without a nap in this weather.

There were church burnings this month, and statues of the Blessed Virgin were vandalized. You wouldn’t know it, though, if you depended on the local media for your news.

I hate the term “bad apples,” at least in the way we mostly use it.
