According to an annual study conducted by the U.S. News and World Report, “Overall Best States Ranking,” Louisiana’s state ranking in regards to an accumulation of topics such as overall health care, economy and education, is 50th, naming Louisiana the nation’s worst state. Why is this? Despite Louisiana’s abundant natural resources and global economic impact, extreme corporate tax exemptions destroy funding for local school systems and law enforcement.
