In our kitchen, one of my two simple bar stools lost one of its dowels. I should not be surprised because the stools are probably 30 years old and, as I well know, things happen.

The Jeff Davis Council on Aging and District Attorney Lauren Heinen teamed up to provide a day of good food and fellowship for the annual seniors crawfish boil. Approximately 300 people, young and old, enjoyed 1,800 pounds of mud bugs served by the Lake Arthur High School Student Council. Attendees were also treated to door prizes and a raffle.

The Jennings Garden Club recently announced Garden of the Month for May.

Legacy christian academy

It was a beautiful, sunshiny day, but only now can I write about it. The euphoria I was enjoying began to deflate like a balloon as I slowly stopped the car on the side of a Georgia highway and turned off the radio. For my own comfort, I increased the air conditioning and then lowered my car window.
