La. Supreme Court denies port eminent domain for private purpose
EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the first of a two-part series concerning the issue of eminent domain utilization and controversial Carbon Capture and Sequestration projects. A recent ruling has sided with property owners on their constitutional rights to private property with exceptions only pertaining to strictly public use projects. The second part will be published in the Friday, March 27 edition of Jennings Daily News.
