Early voting for the Nov. 5 fall Presidential Congressional Primary Election begins today at Jeff Davis Parish Registrar of Voters Office, located at 302 North Cutting Ave. in Jennings. The office will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 18-29, with the exception of Sunday, Oct. 20 and 27.

Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury entered into an intergovernmental agreement with Louisiana Carbon Dioxide (CO2) Alliance, which currently includes four parishes. The alliance seeks to provide education and information to parish residents about concerns over carbon capture and storage projects that inject condensed CO2 underground in the region.
