BATON ROUGE (AP) — Louisiana is the latest red state to announce additional measures to ensure that non-U.S. citizens are not voting in elections, despite it already being illegal and there being no evidence of widespread voter fraud.

The LSU game will be featured on a projection screen during the activities. On Sunday, September 29, the fun will begin again after the completion of 9:30 a.m. mass, with a country dinner, bingo, silent and live auctions, games, competitions and shopping for the whole family.
THORNWELL — Jeff Davis Parish Water and Sewer Commission No. 1 is moving forward with recommendations to build a new water facility in Lacassine, addressing on-going water issues in the area. The current water facility for the district is in Thornwell and services much of Jeff Davis Parish south of I-10, along with small parts of Calcasieu and Cameron parishes.
A local man is behind bars and another is being sought for their involvement in a weekend burglary.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A New Orleans-based system of hospitals and clinics serving Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama is working with a New York nonprofit to wipe out $366 million in medical debt for about 193,000 needy patients.
