Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana State Police Troop D responded to a traffic accident on I-10 near mile marker 51 between Welsh and Lacassine Monday morning. Lucas Spencer of Jennings was riding his motorcycle westbound on the interstate at the time of the accident. He received multiple serious injuries and required AirMed transport to an area trauma center. Traffic on the interstate was shut down for a period of time to allow emergency crews access to the scene.
