Jennings officials are seeking community input regarding the next public works project for the city. The City of Jennings is surveying residents to gather information about its parks and recreation department. In the survey, officials want to know each person’s top three picks of amenities, which include a splash pad, outdoor exercise equipment, pickleball courts and beach volleyball, as well as new playground equipment, municipal swimming pool, multi-use gymnasium, baseball diamonds or walking trail at I-10 Park. The survey also asks if participants live in Jennings, have recently visited a local park, coach locally, play sports or are the parents of a child that uses area facilities. Also, there are two additional questions that address the community’s willingness to support a property millage or sales tax to fund these projects.
