Parish ghosts and ghouls descended upon Jennings on Friday to enjoy Halloween hijinks. With so many festivities happening, there was something for everyone to do.
A day highlighting youth and adults in the area with special needs is scheduled for this weekend. Hosted by Different Voices, One Community Foundation, the event is intended to bring together area residents to meet others with similar needs, enjoy activities and explore available resources. The event starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at North Cutting Park, located at 1103 North Cutting Ave. in Jennings.

First Baptist Church of Jennings is hosting their first annual Pumpkin Run with a focus on both competition and fun. Avid runners to casual walkers of all ages are welcomed to join the 5K (3.1 mile) race around Jennings.
