The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury agreed to send a letter to Gov. Jeff Landry and the Louisiana State Legislature affirming their opposition to Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in the parish without local authority and oversight.

ELTON — Officials here have been keeping a keen eye on their finances after discovering the town was short on funds due to unpaid invoices dating back to 2023, fines from old debts and a lack of substantial revenue.

(The Center Square) — Louisiana native David LaCerte, an official in the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, is still awaiting a confirmation vote in the U.S. Senate.
