It’s with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family of Shannon Lynn Fontenot announces her passing from this life on Aug. 20, 2020, at the age of 48.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020, at St. Jules Catholic Church for Nell Guillory Doucet, 90, who passed away Aug. 19, 2020, at Jennings American Legion Hospital. Fr. Paul LaFleur, pastor of St. Jules Catholic Church, will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held today, Friday, from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday from 8-9:30 a.m. at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Iota. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. today, Friday.

The most popular boy of the Jennings High School Class of 1957 has gone to Heaven. Elmer John Clement, 81, transitioned peacefully to eternal life at 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, at Golden Age in Welsh.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilma Mae Bujol Hebert, 97, of Jennings will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2020, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Father Trey Angie officiating.

Funeral services for Alex Michael LeGros, 70, will be held at noon Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, in Miguez Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Susil Fernando officiating.
