JENNINGS — Funeral services for Mr. Cecil Compton, 78, of Hathaway will be held on Saturday, August 12 at 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. William Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Raymond Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Surrounded by loved ones, Lisa Laray Booth Henry was lifted into heaven on Thursday, August 3, 2023. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, godmother, aunt and friend to many, Lisa drew her last breath as sacred and celebrated as her first.
JENNINGS — Clarence “Brownie” Goodreau, 82, of Jennings passed away at home surrounded by his family on August 5, 2023. Born on May 10, 1941, Brownie was the second son of Clarence and Belle Goodreau. From this time forward Brownie has lived and worked in Jennings except the years he attended Northeast Louisiana State College (ULM).
JENNINGS — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Tuesday, August 8 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings for Bessie Marie Theriot LeJeune, 91, who passed away August 4, 2023 at her home in Jennings.

JENNINGS — Funeral services for Mrs. Noella Lyons Black, 100, of New Orleans will be held on Monday, August 7 at 1 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
John Mamoulides passed away peacefully this week at the age of 90 with both his children at his side. He is reunited with his wife Savilla on the 69th anniversary of their marriage. Born in 1933 in Crowley, he was the youngest of four children of Greek immigrants, Mitchell and Pansy Mamoulides. All of the children grew up working in the family café in Crowley. John played sports at Crowley High, enjoyed hunting and fishing, swimming in the rice canals and skiing on the Mermentau River on homemade skis. At age 12, he began taking on other jobs to help support the family after his father died.
