LAFAYETTE — William Dunham Smith, Jr., age 83, passed away at his home in Lafayette on Saturday, June 24, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 9, at Martin & Castille Funeral Home’s Southside location in Lafayette. The family will receive guests beginning at 1 p.m. and a memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Zach Sasser officiating.

ELTON — A memorial service was held honoring the life of Ernest Sickey, father, First Chairman of the Coushatta Tribe of Louisiana and prominent Indian-affairs advocate. It was held at Trinity Baptist Church in Lake Charles on Tuesday.

JENNINGS — The family and friends of Esther Mae Bourque Boone Clement are mourning the loss of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother, greatgreat grandmother, sister, and friend, who was called from this life on June 14, 2023, at the age of 93.

JENNINGS — Rinee Stephen “Steve” Arnold, of Lake Charles, was welcomed into heaven by his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2023.

Ronald R. Wilkinson, Ph.D., passed unexpectedly at his home in Dallas, Texas on June 6.
