LAKE CHARLES — The Jennings Bulldogs and Barbe Bucs got together Thursday afternoon for their annual scrimmage on the campus of Barbe High School. The two sides went with a controlled 15-play format for two series’ then played a live portion at the end of the contest. The junior varsity sides played two series’ as well. Both the Bulldogs and Bucs would be held scoreless in the varsity-controlled portion, however the Jennings’ junior varsity was able to pop a TD in their action. In the 10-minute game, Barbe was able to push across a TD late in the contest. Junior running back ReJohn Zeno had a big night for the Bulldogs, as he rushed the pigskin for 108 yards on 16 carries.
