The Jennings High boys' basketball team hosted rival Eunice Tuesday night at Gaudet Gymnasium. Looking to get their second win of the season, the Dogs' game was tied 8-8, but the Bobcats led 29-19 going into the second period, leading 46-30 at halftime. The Bobcats held a slim 64-58 lead going into the fourth period. The Dogs would make a comeback by outscoring the Cats 24-14 in the fourth period to give Jennings their 82-78 win.
LAKE ARTHUR — The Lake Arthur Tigers hosted the North Vermilion Patriots Tuesday night in a home opener at Nookie Moore Gymnasium. The Tigers came up short as the Patriots avoided overtime with a tip-in score at the buzzer, securing the twopoint win of 55-53.
With basketball season in full effect, the LHSAA released guidelines for those who choose to cheer on their hometown teams.

The Louisiana Aces, a recreational youth football organization formed in Jennings, left it all on the field Saturday when they defeated the Seahawks to take home the title of Super Bowl Champions in the Open Air Crow Dome at Carencro High. The 8U superstars finished their season with a bang. Not only was the team undefeated, but they also hold the distinction of being untouchable. Not one of the 12 teams they played scored a single point against the Aces. The group will move on to play on the national level in a location that has yet to be determined.
