WELSH — The Welsh Greyhoundsareridingasixgame winning streak heading into this week’s district matchup with the Vinton Lions. Welsh dropped the first two games of the season, but have come out on top since then. The Lions are heading in the opposite direction, as they have a 1-7 season record and no district wins.
Foo Fact of the Game: Jennings scored on seven of their eight possessions and only punted once. The Dogs defeated a young and rebuilding Ram team 49-8 that scored on the last play of the game.
BATON ROUGE – LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels continued his record-setting play on Saturday in LSU’s win over Army as the senior accounted for four touchdowns and 285 yards of total offense in only two quarters of action in the 62-0 victory over the Black Knights.

Such was the case Friday night at Greyhound Stadium, as the Welsh Greyhounds jumped to an early lead and then cruised to a 55-0 win over the visiting Lake Arthur Tigers. With the win, the Hounds have won six straight games to move to 6-2 for the season and 3-0 in District 5-2A action, while the Tigers drop their third straight to fall to 4-4 overall and 0-3 in league play.
The Elton Indians hosted their long-time district rivals Oberlin Tigers with a possible district 5-1A championship at stake with both teams being 4-1 in district play. Thevisiting Tigers would convert three Elton fumbles into touchdowns to give Oberlin a 59-16 win.
BATON ROUGE — Quarterback Jayden Daniels finished the first half 11-of-15 for 279 yards passing and three touchdowns, leading No. 19 LSU over Army, 62-0, on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
