IOWA — Lifelong Iowa resident Josie Conner recently won the American Rodeo 2025 Breakaway Championship at Global Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Conner chased down a calf on her champion horse, Dutch, roping it in 1.84 seconds to beat out the country’s top women’s rodeo athletes.
Conner said the championship was an exciting moment for many reasons and described what it was like pulling off the win.
