A boil advisory was issued for the City of Jennings after the water was shut off on Monday to make repairs to a water main break near North State Street and Shankland Avenue. Due to the proximity of the leak to the water plant, Mayor Henry Guinn said operations at the facility were temporarily shut down to allow the repairs.
