The Jeff Davis Parish Landfill Commission board was given an introductory presentation on Constructed Wetland (CW) systems in a recent meeting.
Presented by Landfill Director Joseph David, the group was informed the engineered systems are intended to mimic natural wetlands and used to treat a variety of wastewater run-off, such as landfill leachate (toxic or polluted wastewater).
