WELSH — A local freshman is making big steps towards achieving her future goals after being accepted into a special summer program in Canada.
Welsh High School student Halle Bertrand was recently awarded a $4,500 Zigler Foundation Scholarship to attend a unique program at Un i v e r s i t é Sainte- Anne in Church Point, Nova Scotia, Canada, from July 5 through Aug. 8.
