Area children gathered at Founder’s Park in downtown Jennings to witness the release of several butterflies thanks to the Jeff Davis Parish Library. Library Youth Program Director Laci Cormier helped the young attendees set the winged beauties free. The library received the butterflies as caterpillars so patrons could watch their metamorphosis leading up to the release.
