A team of Jennings High School Alumni are working to bring overdue honor to local heroes that served their country during the brutal battles of Vietnam.
A group from Jeff Davis and Acadia parishes are planning a ceremony to honor Specialist-4 Albert “Billy” Sonnier from Elton, who paid the ultimate price when he was killed in action at 24 years of age during the Battle of LZ-X Ray on Nov. 15, 1965.
