The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury will be asking voters to approve a reappropriation of funds for the new Jeff Davis Animal Shelter. The matter will appear on the November 2025 election ballot.
Residents are currently paying a 5-cent sales tax to fund the regional consolidated jail. Jurors want a portion of that revenue to be used for the new shelter.
