WELSH — The Welsh Board of Aldermen requested to schedule a public hearing next month to discuss giving Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet a bump in pay.
Alderman Jackie Balmer petitioned town officials to have the item added to the July agenda.
“I would like to request a public hearing next month, on the same day as the council meeting, to discuss adjusting the pay of the chief of police,” she said.
