The Jennings Police Department announced the recent arrest of a Jennings man for a violent sexual assault.
On June 5, Jennings Police Department responded to a rape in progress near the 1700 block of North Cary Avenue. The caller advised police that the suspect, an unknown black male, was sexually assaulting one of the female residents of the home, according to Police Chief Danny Semmes.
