LAKE ARTHUR — The Town of Lake Arthur received approval to seek new contractors for a demolition project which saw been put on hold due to a recent tragedy.
The town received a Louisiana Community Development Block Grant (LCDBG) award of up to $250,000 to remove blighted homes in the area and were set to get started when a major setback occurred.
