The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury recently approved continuing participation in the newly formed Acadiana Regional Juvenile Justice District, which seeks to provide a regionally located detention center. The district board hopes to build a 30,000-square-foot state-ofthe- art facility north of I-10 that would house, rehabilitate and educate approximately 100 incarcerated juveniles.
