The Jeff Davis Parish Landfill Commission reviewed necessary documents during a special meeting this week which will allow operation of the site to be let for bid in the near future. The contracts with current waste operators, Republic Services, and methane gas operators, Moreau Energy, will expire in the summer of 2027.
