The Elton Indians dropped their Homecoming game to East Beauregard Trojans by a score of 64-50.

The Lake Arthur Tigers took one on the chin Friday night when they DeQuincy Tigers toppled LA by a final of 35-0. Lake Arthur will again hit the road this week when they travel to Franklin to take on Hanson Memorial in a non-district clash set for Friday night.

In what will be remembered as an instant classic high school football game, the Jennings Bulldogs earned their first win of the season by defeating a good Iota football team by a final of 57-48. Jennings phenom Trevor Etienne scored a whopping six touchdowns at both the running back and quarterback position after starter Austin Ewing went down with an injury. Etienne finished his brilliant evening with 243 yards on 21 carries plus the six scores.

PICKERING — On their way to a convincing 57-14 win over the Pickering Red Devils, the Welsh Greyhounds discovered a lost passing game to go with their bruising running attack, as they completed six of 11 attempts for 143 yards and also rushed for 327 stripes in the victory. Welsh now stands at 3-1 for the season and will get a really tough test next week when an unbeaten Westlake team comes to Welsh.

The Jennings Bulldogs have continued to improve from week-to-week after a rough start to they 2021 season. After suffering a heartbreaking 28-27 loss to the DeRidder Dragons last Friday at Jerry Simmons Stadium, the Dogs will now turn their attention Homecoming week and the rival Iota Bulldogs.
