A local social service agency that ensures the needs of parish residents are met is working to remove some of the financial burdens for low-income families during tax season.
The ASSIST Agency, in conjunction with United Way of Southwest Louisiana, is offering free tax preparation by appointment until April 15 at its office, located at 107 East Nezpique St. in Jennings.
