ELTON — A Jeff Davis Parish man is facing 12 counts of simple cruelty to animals after authorities say he admitted to abandoning a litter of newborn puppies near railroad tracks in Elton last month.
Randell Roy Austin, 75, of Elton, was charged with 12 counts of simple cruelty to animals on Friday, June 19, by the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office for abandoning puppies.
