Sheriff’s office arrests local man on drug possession

WELSH — Parish law enforcement made a drug bust this week that resulted in the seizure of illegal narcotics and a substantial amount of money. On June 2, members of the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office Specialized Tactical Investigative Narcotics Group utilized the JDSO Specialized Tactics and Training Unit, along with patrol deputies, to execute a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in Welsh.
