The jury again received comments on the matter during another packed public hearing Wednesday after the matter was discussed during last week’s zoning committee meeting.

BRIDGE CLOSURE ANNOUNCED
HATHAWAY — Officials announced this week that Pine Island Highway Bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, until Wednesday, Aug. 20, disrupting regular traffic flow and likely causing travel delays in the area. The closure affects the portion of the highway between Dama Landry Road and Elton Drive. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and plan for alternate travel routes due to the expected impact on commute times.
