The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury recently heard follow-up information by Mosquito Abatement Director Robert Tonn as well as questions and concerns from members of the local Cattlemen’s Association over spraying of livestock and paying taxes related to mosquito abatement efforts.

LAKE ARTHUR — From budget plans and surplus auction to police and fire department funding, the board of aldermen discussed a range of business during its latest meeting.

WELSH — The Welsh Board of Aldermen requested to schedule a public hearing next month to discuss giving Welsh Police Chief Marcus Crochet a bump in pay.

The police jury meets in the Sidney Briscoe Meeting Room, located at 304 North State St. in Jennings.
