— ExxonMobil has begun transporting and storing carbon dioxide produced at an ammonia manufacturing complex in Louisiana and plans to expand the company’s low carbon solutions business on the Gulf Coast.

The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury has extended warming shelter hours through Monday afternoon. The shelter is housed in the William E. Broussard Multi-Purpose Building, located at 814 South Lake Arthur Ave. and will remain open through Monday, Feb. 2 at noon. All residents of Jeff Davis Parish in need of a place out of the freezing cold are welcomed, including families, single adults and couples, though pets are not allowed.
