The Jeff Davis Police Jury approved moving forward with a revised road improvement project in the Topsy area after an amendment to a $1 million grant project was recently approved by the Office of Community Development. The asphalt overlay project underwent major changes in recent months after original cost estimates for the police jury sky rocketed from $800,000 to $1.9 million.
The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury is set to reappoint all parish commission board members whose terms expire in December 2025 and establish staggered term limits for all board members who do not currently have defined terms.
