The Jeff Davis Parish Police Jury Office policy board recently approved changes in office policy regarding employee vacation time.
What began as a request by Parish Administrator Ben Boudreaux to give new hires in three salaried positions the allowance of a one-week vacation during the first year of employment, turned into an additional proposal for increased vacation time for all employees.
