BASILE — For the first six minutes of the game, it looked like the “Battle of the Bayou” trophy would stay with the Elton Indians. Makelin Lemoine scored on a 62-yard run on the first play of the game to give the Indians a 7-0 lead. However, the Basile Bearcats would score 41 points to reclaim the trophy with a 41-7 win over their district rivals at Soileau Field in Basile, Friday night.
