EUNICE - It’s with heavy hearts that the family of Allen “Cowboy” Bergeaux announces his passing on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 79.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today, Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice.

At the request of the family, visitation was held at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2018, from noon until 9 p.m., and again on Tuesday, March 13, from 8 a.m. until time of services.

Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Brother Brian McFarlain officiating.

Allen, known as “Cowboy,” will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him especially his wife of seven years, Pee Wee Bergeaux of Jennings; son, Donald Fontenot and wife, Jean of Basile; daughter, Sue Cormier and husband, Jimmy of Eunice; step daughters, Sulane McFarlain and husband, Brian of Magnolia, Texas, and Sally Simon and husband, Mitch of Lake Charles; sisters, Shirley Granger of Lake Charles, Della Lantz and Eva Breaux, both of Sulphur; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great greatgrandchild; as well as extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Leticia Fontenot Bergeaux; parents, Alfred and Burcy Miller Bergeaux; brothers, Robert Lee and Johnny Bergeaux; and sisters, Judy Landry, Jeanette Hearod, and Audrey Bergeaux.
