It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Woodrow “Ti” Richard announces his passing from this life on March 15, 2018, at the age of 69.

Funeral services honoring Woodrow “Ti”’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 10 a.m., with Don Gott officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home beginning on Friday, March 16, from 3:30-9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, March 17, from 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral service.

The family of Woodrow “Ti” will be honoring his wishes of cremation after his service and his burial will be at a later date in Reed Cemetery.

Woodrow “Ti” was born to Martin Earl Richard and Elverla Gatte Richard on March 31, 1948. He loved the outdoors and fishing. Woodrow “Ti” also loved learning all he could about history, and listening to music. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. Woodrow “Ti” never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Woodrow “Ti” is survived by his three daughters, Lisa LeJeune of Tee Mamou, Kathy LeBlanc (Sidney Jr.) of Jennings and Angie Stansberry (Jackie Jr.) of Jennings; his brother, Lynn Richard of Jennings; his seven grandchildren, Blaize, Trevor, Charles, Aaron, Andrew, John and Briannah.

Woodrow “Ti” was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Elverla “Toot” Richard; his beloved wife, Glenda Gayle Long Richard; his son-in-law, Charles LeJeune; his two brothers, Carl Richard and Joey Richard; and his two sisters, Phyllis Domingue and Rowena Richard.
