A Mass of Christian Burial for Johnny Ray Miller, 68, will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 1 p.m., with Reverend Charles McMillin officiating.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home beginning on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 3:30-10 p.m., with a rosary recited 6 p.m.

The family requests that visitation resume on Wednesday, June 27,from 9 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass.

Johnny will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.

Johnny was born in Kinder on Feb. 13, 1950, to Aladin Miller and Maybelle Daigle Miller. He was called from this life on June 24, 2018.

Johnny retired from Welsh High School as a custodian. He was a Eucharistic Minister and a Sacristan for Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Johnny was also a Third Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 2012.

He loved helping out his family and friends. Johnny was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Linda LeBlanc Miller of Jennings; son, Cory John Miller of Sulphur; daughter, Crystal (James) Benoit of Jennings; three grandchildren, Jade Conner, Alison Benoit and Alaina Miller; one greatgranddaughter, Aubrey Conner; brothers, Ralph Miller of Duson, A.J. (Lois) Miller of Kilgore, Texas, Luther (Mary) Miller of Fenton,Jerry Wayne (Shelia) Miller of Dry Creek and Malcolm (Joanne) Miller of Dry Creek; and sister, Katherine (Harold) Corbello of Fenton.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Aladin and Maybelle D. Miller; brother, Anyer “Tiny” Miller; and granddaughter, Kynli Miller.

Carrying Johnny to his final resting place in Greenwood Cemetery will be James Benoit, Faron Conner, Lucas Corbello, Daniel Kibodeaux, Kenneth Miller and David Landry.
