Mr. Kelly J. Parsley, 76, of Evangeline died peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family at 7:40 a.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018.

As per his request, Mr. Parsley’s body was cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. Parsley was retired after many years of service as a pipefitter for Citgo. He was a 1960 graduate of Iota High School. Mr. Parsley was an avid sportsman - no deer or fish were safe around him. He loved to watch his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play and fish in the “paradise” of his backyard. Mr. Parsley was the kind of person that if you met him one time, you would never forget him and would look forward to seeing and visiting with him again. You would never get to his home without a pot of dark roast Seaport coffee brewed and ready to be served.

Mr. Parsley is survived by his loving wife, JoAnna Gary Parsley of Evangeline; two daughters, Christine (John) Koll of Hathaway and Sarah Cormier of Westlake; three sons, Drew (Arlene) Parsley of Crowley, Dean (Nasondra) Parsley of Hathaway and Ross (Rachel) Parsley of Evangeline; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
